Ramly — Privacy Policy

1. Introduction

Ramly ("we", "our", or "the App") is an Islamic prayer tracker and Quran reading companion. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Information We Collect

• Account Information: Username, email address, and password (hashed) when you create an account.
• Location Data: With your permission, we access your device's GPS coordinates solely to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. We do not track or store your location history.
• Usage Data: Prayer completion status, Quran reading progress (pages read), dhikr counts, and streaks — all tied to your account to provide the app's core features.

3. How We Use Your Information

• Calculate and display accurate daily prayer times based on your location.
• Track your prayer completions, Quran reading progress, and streaks.
• Send prayer time notifications (only if you enable them).

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Aladhan API — to calculate prayer times from your coordinates. Their privacy policy: aladhan.com/privacy-policy
• BigDataCloud — to convert your coordinates into a city/country name for display. Only your latitude and longitude are sent; no personal data.
• Expo Push Notifications — to deliver prayer reminders. We store your device's push token solely for this purpose.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored securely on servers hosted by Railway. Passwords are hashed and never stored in plain text. API communication is encrypted via HTTPS.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes. Data is only shared as described in Section 4 (Third-Party Services) to provide core app functionality.

7. Your Rights

• Access & Export: You can request a copy of your data at any time.
• Deletion: You can delete your account and all associated data from the Settings screen in the app, or by contacting us.
• Location: You can revoke location permissions at any time in your device settings. The app will still work but cannot calculate prayer times automatically.

8. Children's Privacy

Ramly is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes through the app or via email.
